Settings
The settings allow you to tailor the sheets to your requirements.
If you want all the questions to be of the same type, click one of the four buttons in the top row. If you want a mixture, use the second row. Click the mixed button and then select the types required.
Type in a title for the sheet. Your text will provide the heading for the question sheet. The heading on the answer sheet will be your text plus "Answers". For example, if you type in Addition, the headings will be "Addition" and "Addition Answers". If you are creating a series of sheets, a number will be added to the title e.g. "Addition 1" to "Addition 10".
You can specify whether you are creating a single sheet or a series of sheets. If the latter, you can choose how many sheets the series will contain by entering start and end numbers. These numbers will be appended to the title.
You can specify how many questions there will be on each sheet.
This allows you to choose how the space for answers will be displayed i.e.
You can set the size of the text for the sheets.
Procedure
1. Change the settings as required.
2. Press the prepare new set button
3. Four buttons will be displayed:
Button 1: prepare new set A new set of questions is prepared for either a single sheet or a series of sheets. (You can also use this button to cancel the current single sheet or series.)
Button 2: preview questions The set of questions is displayed. If you have selected the series option, the values displayed will not be the ones actually used on the sheets.
Button 3: preview answers The set of answers is displayed. If you have selected the series option, the values displayed will not be the ones actually used on the sheets.
Button 4: create sheets A window will open displaying the set of questions (or the first sheet if you have opted for a series). You can either print the sheet from this window or save it to disc. As the printing method varies from browser to browser, you will need to find out how to do this yourself. Pressing button 4 a second time will display the set of answers. (You do not need to close the window until the end of the session.)
Printing a series of sheets When you have printed (or saved) the first question and answer sheets, press button 4 again to display the second question sheet. Continue until all the sheets in the series have been processed. You can cancel a series at any time by changing any of the settings and/or pressing button 1 again.
Note: Changing any of the settings removes the current set (or series) of questions. So, after changing settings, you must press button 1.
